Elisabeth Narsia is a 17-year-old teenager, now recovered, living an active lifestyle with full capabilities. Just last year, she was fighting for her health. Along with severe spinal deformation, she also had pronounced changes in her pelvic bone. “Our family’s ordeal began 3 years ago when Elisabeth was 14. Doctors preferred conservative treatment methods. The treatments, exercises, and massages performed during these years proved ineffective. Moreover, the condition was progressing. Then we found ourselves at M. Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital, with Irakli Vardzukashvili…” – recalls the patient’s mother. At Iashvili Hospital’s Children’s Health Center, the patient underwent comprehensive examinations. Diagnostic results showed the deformation was third-degree and required urgent surgery. According to orthopedic traumatologist Irakli Vardzukashvili, it was decided to perform a complex single-stage spinal surgery (requiring no repeat intervention), which relieved both the visual discomfort and health problems for the teenager. Now 17-year-old Elisabeth is undergoing rehabilitation and remains under periodic specialist supervision. The teenager is gradually returning to her normal rhythm of life.
