48 Years of History

იაშვილის კლინიკა

Half a century guarding children’s health and life – today, the AACI-accredited Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital has maintained its status as the country’s premier multi-profile pediatric center for 48 years, providing comprehensive medical services for young patients.

Our clinic’s development history is connected to a person who received the title of Georgia’s Honored Doctor during his lifetime. Murman Iashvili’s contribution to the development of medicine is indelible. The doctor whose name the country’s largest children’s hospital bears today dedicated his entire life to establishing and developing pediatric services, creating the first multidisciplinary inpatient facility in the country.

Murman Iashvili invested significant resources in training and developing young medical professionals, focusing on continuous education. The children’s hospital, which has become the country’s medical brand, continues to share and follow this approach to this day.

Iashvili Hospital is the only multi-profile pediatric referral clinic in the country, providing 24-hour medical services in virtually all directions, along with many unique medical services. These include Level 4 Traumatology, Level 3 Pediatric Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neonatology, Surgery (with Category 4 and 5 surgical interventions), Toxicology, Oncology, Oncohematology, Thoracic Surgery, Endoscopic Urology, Dialysis, and more.

The artificial kidney and dialysis departments in the country were established through Murman Iashvili’s initiative and tireless work. He also founded the first Neonatology Department, giving premature infants a unique chance at survival. Murman Iashvili is also credited with establishing the now popular and widely implemented family physician institution.

Today, Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital implements and develops many unique pediatric medical directions. These include neurosurgery, toxicology, thoracic surgery, and spine surgery. The clinic remains the country’s sole provider of pediatric onco-hematological services. Also notable is the hospital’s collaboration with a pathomorphological laboratory base in the Netherlands, where complex cases undergo pathological-anatomical diagnostics.

The clinic also serves as a base for undergraduate and postgraduate medical education for several medical universities.

Iashvili Hospital creates a comfortable environment tailored to young patients, designed to be as stress-free as possible. Recreational and rest areas have been created for both children and their accompanying persons.

"We all know that the least we want are incidents, but when they happen, it's nice to know that our employees are treated by medical workers who are specialists in industrial medicine. I can confirm that the Central Children's Hospital named after Iashvili is the only decision that the employer must take."
