The Department of Respiratory and Abdominal Medicine provides diagnosis–treatment of respiratory system and abdominal cavity diseases and offers comprehensive care for patients aged 28-days to 18 years. The clinic is the only one in the country, offering pediatric patients management of any type of disease in this profile without leaving the country.
Respiratory diagnosis/treatment is based on both national protocols, and – recommendations from the European Respiratory Society and American Thoracic Society. Successfully treating diseases such as:
- Acute respiratory infections, including – bacterial and viral infections;
- Diseases with acute respiratory failure;
- Chronic respiratory diseases (bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, etc.)
- Congenital anomalies of lung development and interstitial diseases;
- Pneumonia with destructive lung and pleural complications;
- Lung–diseases associated with neuromuscular disorders ;
- Early tuberculosis screening/management;
- Allergic diseases (asthma, allergic rhinitis) and many others.
A full spectrum of treatment is also available for abdominal conditions, involving a multidisciplinary (infectionist, gastroenterologist, endoscopist, allergologist, pediatrician) team. Treatment is provided for diseases such as:
- Gastrointestinal–tract pathologies;
