The Oncology and Hematology Center offers comprehensive outpatient services for children and adolescents with all types of cancers and blood disorders, which, in turn, includes diagnostics and non-inpatient treatment. The center provides specialized care for patients aged 0-to 18 years and is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities. These include, among others:
- Blast cell immunophenotyping (using latest generation flow cytometer);
- Bone marrow function and trephine biopsy;
- Cytomorphological and cytochemical studies;
- Molecular and genetic testing (by PCR);
- Minimal residual disease detection (MRD);
- Computed tomography;
- Ultrasonography;
- X-ray examinations;
- Laboratory testing;
Outpatient services include all types of clinical oncology therapies, including chemo, immuno, targeted and hormone therapy. The center treats oncological, hematological and oncohematological diseases. Among others, we successfully manage:
- All types of acquired anemia;
- All types of congenital anemia(thalassemia, microsphereocytosis, G6PD, pyruvate–kinase deficiency and etc.)
- All subtypes of thrombocytopenic purpura;
- Coagulopathies;
- Myelodysplastic syndromes;
- Acute and chronic forms of GVHD developed after bone marrow transplantation;
- Outpatient management of all types of solid tumors;
The hospital provides pain management and psychological support services, which are particularly important during the treatment of oncological diseases.
