The Center for Allergology and Dermatology provides diagnosis and treatment of allergic diseases of any complexity in children, skin, mucous membrane, hair and nail pathologies–treatment. The service includes both specialist consultations, and laboratory tests, including – allergen tests.
The fields of dermatology, allergology, endocrinology and gastroenterology are closely related when detecting similar pathologies, therefore treatment in the hospital is conducted comprehensively. Diagnosis/management is carried out for conditions such as:
- Skin bacterial, viral and fungal infections;
- Sebaceous and sweat gland disorders
- Acne, dermatozoonoses, pruritic dermatoses, perioral dermatitis;
- Newborn skin conditions and skin pigmentation disorders;
- Psoriasis, ichthyosis;
- Hair growth and loss problems and more.
Common allergic conditions in children include atopic dermatitis, urticaria, angioneurotic edema, allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma and other diseases. It’s worth noting, that the center diagnoses rare and severe allergic syndromes in children, whose management, continues in inpatient settings. These include:
- Bullous erythema multiforme: Stevens–Johnson syndrome (SJS);
- Toxic epidermal necrolysis: Lyell’s syndrome (TEN);
- Bullous pemphigoid;
- Drug-induced hypersensitivity syndrome (DIHS/DRESS);
- Anaphylaxis;
- Anaphylactoid conditions (managed with a multidisciplinary approach);
