Iashvili Children’s Hospital Diagnostic Center is the only one in the country, that covers all types of pediatric radiology examinations, including specialized tests. The center provides comprehensive diagnostics for pediatric patients from 0to 18 years of age, as well as – prenatal studies. The comprehensive diagnostic services combine advanced imaging technologies for accurate and timely diagnosis.
The center performs all types of contrast studies for children and fully covers organ examinations in this direction. Cystography, intravenous urography, urethrography, fistulography, and a complete spectrum of pediatric uronephrological and gastroenterological diagnostics are available. Additionally, contrast studies and radiography of the bone–joint system, spine, cervical vertebrae are successfully performed, which uses ionizing radiation to examine internal body structures. The method is essential for detecting fractures, infections, bone pathologies, and pulmonary and dental conditions.
Furthermore, computed tomography is available, which enables layered 3D visualization of organs and tissues. This examination method is an irreplaceable mechanism for obtaining comprehensive body imaging and studies changes in various organs in detail. The computed tomography machine can detect diseases, that, at first glance, are difficult to identify. These include internal bleeding, brain or bone marrow injuries, various types of tumors, internal fractures, and many others.
Ultrasonography uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of internal body structures. Ultrasound examinations are used to investigate soft tissues, joints, abdominal cavity, and other organs. Additionally, it includes echocardiography with Doppler and neurosonoscopy, which involves examining a newborn’s brain. The ultrasound machines in the center feature high resolution color, liquid–crystal monitors and provide maximum detailed imaging. This is a safe and painless method, which does not involve ionizing radiation, which is particularly important for pediatric and prenatal care.
