Nino Kikodze MD

Nino Kikodze is one of the founders of the Pediatric Emergency Department in Georgia. Under her leadership, the first ER department at Iashvili Children’s Hospital was opened in 2004, which was gradually followed by the implementation of emergency services nationwide.

She graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University with a specialization in Pediatrics and received her postgraduate education in Resuscitation at the same institution. She was awarded her Doctor of Medicine degree in Pediatrics in 2001 at the New York Academy of Sciences.

Throughout her career, Nino Kikodze has made significant contributions to the development of ER services in the country. She actively collaborated with world-leading Emory University (Atlanta, USA) and Mayo Clinic (Minnesota, USA), resulting in the implementation of important projects at Iashvili Children’s Hospital.

She is the author of numerous scientific papers and medical publications. She also co-authored the manual: “Advanced Algorithm for Managing Pediatric Emergency Conditions,” which was later translated into Georgian.

Nino Kikodze is the founder and president of the Pediatric Emergency Medical Care Association. Since 2015, she has been leading the training program for pediatric emergency physicians.
