Levan Kharashvili MD

Levan Kharashvili is a pediatric surgeon with 17 years of professional experience. His specialization includes pediatric general and thoracic surgery, as well as laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgical procedures and endoscopic therapeutic and diagnostic manipulations.

He graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University and completed his specialization in pediatric surgery under the supervision of Professor Paata Gvetadze. For 10 years, he headed the Respiratory Medicine Department at Iashvili Clinic, and currently serves as Head of the Abdominal, General and Thoracic Surgery Department. Additionally, he is engaged in educational activities at the medical school “AIETI.”

Levan Kharashvili has introduced and successfully performs numerous surgical and endoscopic procedures in Georgia (thoracoscopic management of infectious pathologies of the lungs and pleura, esophageal replacement operations and various endoscopic manipulations).

He has completed numerous training and specialization courses and programs in European and Israeli clinics. He is a member of the International Network of Pediatric Airway Teams (INPAT). He also participates in international research, including the European project Susy Safe (Surveillance System on Suffocation Injuries due to Foreign Bodies in European Children) – an epidemiological study of foreign bodies in the respiratory tract.
