Zviad Buliskeria is a pediatric surgeon with 47 years of professional experience, whose career has been associated with Iashvili Children’s Hospital since 1989. Currently, he heads the Department of General, Abdominal and Thoracic Surgery.
He graduated from the Pediatric Faculty of Minsk State Medical Institute (Belarus). He received his postgraduate education in pediatric surgery.
His professional career began in Belarus at the Center for Pediatric Surgery, where he worked in the Emergency Medicine Department. Later, he served as the head of the Surgical Department at the Children’s Republican Hospital (Georgia).
Zviad Buliskeria has implemented numerous innovative approaches in pediatric surgery in Georgia. His name is associated with modern treatment methods for Hirschsprung’s disease and portal hypertension, as well as neonatal surgery techniques and many others, which significantly increase positive outcome rates.
