Iashvili Children’s Hospital manages the most severe surgical pathologies and developmental defects in newborns. Complex surgical procedures are successfully performed, including – surgery for congenital anomalies and tumors .
General and Abdominal Surgery All types of surgical interventions are available for newborns, children and adolescents. Successful operations are performed on the gallbladder (cholecystectomy, “Kasai” procedure, treatment of bile duct pathologies, bile duct reconstruction and more), liver and pancreas. Duodenal surgery is performed with complete restoration of full passage, Hirschsprung’s disease
treatment using transanal approach, surgical treatment of large and small intestine pathologies. Thoracic Surgery department performs all types of thoracic operations in newborns, children and adolescents. This includes surgical treatment of congenital anomalies of the respiratory tract and thoracic organs, acquired diseases, and traumatic injuries. More specifically, successful surgeries are performed for tracheal conditions, diaphragmatic hernias, congenital pulmonary atresia, lung and esophageal anomalies, chest–wall deformities and tumors.
