The Department of Otorhinolaryngology provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of ear–nose–throat diseases–including, both outpatient and inpatient management of sinus disorders, hearing loss and pharyngeal pathologies/conditions.
Various ear–nose–throat pathologies are common in pediatric patients. These include, acute middle ear inflammation (otitis), allergic rhinitis, tonsillitis and adenoiditis, cognitive anomalies, chronic sinusitis, sleep, speech and language disorders. Additionally, foreign body incidents in the throat, ear and nasal areas are common, as well as – traumatic injuries.
The Otorhinolaryngology Department provides comprehensive care in this regard. Surgical procedures in the ear–nose–throat regions are performed successfully. These include, adenotomy, tonsillectomy, septoplasty, cauterization of bleeding capillaries, opening of retro and parapharyngeal abscesses, removal of foreign bodies and many others.
The team consists of highly qualified doctors with Western experience. The department is headed by Vladimir Kvachantiradze.
