Ophthalmological disorders in children, congenital diseases and acquired dysfunctions – Iashvili Hospital’s Eye Center offers comprehensive services to patients aged 0to 18 years. The center is equipped with diagnostic ophthalmological devices, ensuring thorough examination of pediatric patients. Among others, the following services are available:
- Visometry, retinoscopy, computerized refractokeratometry;
- Biomicroscopy (anterior segment) and fundus examination;
- Indirect and direct ophthalmoscopy;
- Intraocular pressure measurement;
The Eye Center performs vision correction of any complexity, treatment through conservative, surgical or laser methods. Successfully manages pediatric ophthalmological conditions, such as: all forms of strabismus, glaucoma, cataracts, lacrimal apparatus diseases, congenital/acquired retinal pathologies, refractive anomalies and traumatic/chemical eye injuries.
It’s worth noting, that foreign body incidents in the eye are common in children. The hospital performs both surgical and non-surgical procedures for such cases. Additionally, onco-ophthalmology and neuro-ophthalmology services are available.
