The Pulmonary Center provides diagnosis, treatment and management of various lung pathologies. The involvement of a multidisciplinary team ensures personalized outpatient services for patients aged 0 to 18 years, who need specialized care for congenital, acquired, allergic and rare respiratory system pathologies, as well as – tuberculosis and thoracic cavity diseases. The treatment process involves specialists from various fields (pediatrician, pediatric pulmonologist, phthisiologist, allergologist, pediatric surgeon , endoscopist, radiologist).
We successfully manage diseases involving lung destruction, pleural complications and acute respiratory failure, acute respiratory infections (acute bronchitis, croup, bronchiolitis), chronic lung diseases (cystic fibrosis, interstitial pneumonia, bronchial asthma) and pulmonary pathologies associated with neuro–muscular complications.Additionally, the center provides tuberculosis suspected
cases differential diagnostics.
A full spectrum of instrumental and laboratory tests is available for respiratory system diagnostics. High-tech and specific examinations are conducted. Including:
- Spirometry – external respiratory function testing;
- Basic allergy tests;
- Computed tomography;
- X-ray examination;
- Cardio–thoracic ultrasound examination;
- Endoscopic diagnostics, including – bronchoscopy;
- Early wheezing diagnosis using WheezeScan device;
- Complete viral panel testing for acute respiratory diseases at the Lugar Laboratory;
- Laboratory tests, including – bacterial, biochemical and immunological examinations;
